Observa estas frases y piensa (think):

¿Lo has adivinado? Did you guess?
En las primeras frases (in the first phrases), hablamos de un estado temporal. En las segundas (in the second ones), hablamos de características permanentes de la personalidad.
Está nervioso = he is nervous (maybe because he is about to sit an exam).
Es nervioso = he is a nervous guy (that's just the way he is!).
Está aburrido = he is bored.
Es aburrido = he is boring.
Está feliz = he is happy (he just got good news).
Es feliz = he is happy (he is always happy: good for him!).
Está nervioso = he is nervous (maybe because he is about to sit an exam).
